A seasoned commercial helicopter pilot, with an Airframe and Power Plant mechanics license. Twelve years experience in the following: flight instruction, agriculture arial application using herbicides, fungicides and insecticides by helicopter with the latest computerized equipment available, i.e. the Del Norte electronic D.G.P.S. Flagging System. This appointment was served in Costa Rica for their banana and rice industries both national and international. It was during this period that he acquired working Spanish.
Five years experience in helicopter operations aboard commercial fishing boats on the East, Central, and West Pacific Oceans. Boat duties required: piloting the helicopter, reconnaissance of the oceans for schools of tuna and to report their position, direction, tonnage, and also the weather and sea conditions. The duties also included: scheduled servicing, general maintenance, and anticorrosion control for the helicopter and ground/sea support equipment. Mr. Gill was also responsible for the logistics involved in the removal, installation, and shipment of helicopter timed components, as well as organization of the maintenance manuals updates, S.T.C.s , A.D.s the aircrafts annual inspection and service bulletins, and aircraft logs. The work required to comply with insurance company directives and safety bulletin up dates.
